Food and drink

We are still in the process of working with the venue to ensure a range of catering options and to follow up on any issues which came up with catering at previous conventions.

As it proved very popular last time, a 'pop-up' food stall option will be available again throughout the day, and will offer a good variety. In addition, the restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet menus.

Finally, we are working closely with the hotel to ensure that dietary requirements are met and adhered to. If you have any specific dietary needs, please contact the Hotel team to let them know.

Leisure Suite and Pool

The hotel has a fully equipped fitness suite incorporating a range of cardio-vascular machines, free weights, a swimming pool and a hot tub. Access to the leisure suite is included for all resident members. Non-resident members will need to pay a fee.

Children must be accompanied in the pool at all times by a responsible adult.


A fully licensed bar will be available on site providing soft and alcoholic drinks. Drinks will be available at discounted prices provided that you show your Convention badge when ordering. Coffee and tea will be available at a discounted price, and there will be a discount of 20% available on all other regular bar prices. There will be a selection of real ales and ciders arranged specifically for the Convention, sold at a fixed price.

  • The discounts are only available with your Convention badge.
  • The hotel automatically add a Discretionary Service Charge to all billed amounts but will remove this on request.



Complimentary Wi-Fi will be available throughout the hotel to all convention members.


It is very important to us that the venue is as accessible to as many members as possible and our Accessibility team have been working hard with the hotel to ensure this. Our Accessibility Policy and a comprehensive overview of accessibility at the Hilton Metropole Birmingham will be available soon.
