Rosemary found Discworld fandom in the late 90s via alt.fan.pratchett and has been attending Discworld Conventions since 2002. She is actually quite surprised it took her this long to offer to help run one but has finally yielded to the inevitable, despite the dire warnings from Cpl Nobbs that you "never, ever volunteer".

In the Roundworld, Rosemary divides her time between teaching students to become scientists without blowing themselves up or turning themselves green, and making costumes for live roleplaying, which is also what she spends most of her free time actually taking part in. This does of course mean that spending weekends in another world is entirely normal for her, though the costume of "purple shirt and radio" is perhaps slightly less familiar...
