...and some reminders
- Membership: If you are intending to upgrade from a Supporting membership to a full or concessionary Attending Membership: it is much easier for us if you do this by the end of July, although we would be able to accept cash on the door for last-minute membership upgrades. Email membership@dwcon.org to join the (currently very short) waiting list.
- Gala Dinner Tickets: are selling fast and will only be available until the end of July, so please don't leave it to the last minute. See https://2022.dwcon.org/news/the-lancre-gala-dinner/ and https://2022.dwcon.org/news/gala-dinner-pictures/
- Gala Dinner Seating: Not all the seating requests panned out as planned, so to make sure you are seated with the people you want please email gala@dwcon.org with your own name and membership number together with the names and/or numbers of those your would like to be with.
- Luvverly sooveneers: Most of our T shirts and other memorabilia are only available to pre-order under the terms of our licence from Narrativia and won't be available to buy at the Convention. Orders close this coming Sunday, 17 July. See https://2022.dwcon.org/news/two-ways-to-buy/
- Auction items: Our Auction team still have room for more items in the Charity Auction. If you have items to offer, please email auction@dwcon.org with some pictures of the item and any background information you have about it. See https://2022.dwcon.org/news/charity-auction-call-for-donations/.
- Badge Names: Is your badge name right? We print the badges very soon but have been able to stretch the cut-off date to this Friday, 15 July. After that you risk handwritten marker pen badge names. Go to your Member's page at https://2022.dwcon.org/membership/overview/
[1] About Thomas Benjamin Wild Esquire
Viral sensation Thomas Benjamin Wild Esq. has been delivering his own brand of singalong, musical humour since 2016. The video for his sweary anthem ‘I’ve No More F***s To Give’ has been viewed over 11 million times on YouTube alone, and his debut album ‘Awkward Encounters While Walking My Dog’ reached number 3 in the Billboard Comedy Album Chart in 2019 making him a much sought after live act.
With banjolele in hand, Thomas takes inspiration from the wit and wisdom of the songwriters of the early-mid 20th century and combines them with punk rock sensibilities to create pithy songs full of catchy tunes and social and political commentary that speak volumes about the times we live in.
He has performed at venues and festivals across the UK and is a regular on the cabaret, burlesque and comedy circuits where audiences are left delighted by his humor, shrewd observations, charm and style. With a unique mix of original material, singalong classics and a sharp vintage wardrobe to match, his one man show is equally suited to large scale events or small, intimate settings.
